The Guards Report to the High Priests

¹¹ While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and told the high priests everything that had happened. ¹² So they met with the elders and agreed on a plan to give the soldiers a large^[a] amount of money. ¹³ They said, “Say that Jesus’^[b] disciples came at night and stole him while you were sleeping.
